PSNA College ties up with TCS
The PSNA College of Engineering and Technology has tie-up with Tata Consultancy Services, for campus recruitment drive.
The software company has accredited the college for conducting exclusive campus recruitment process and would conduct the campus interview in 2011, said R.S.K. Lakshmana Prabhu, Director of the college.
He said that the college hoped that at least 200 students would be recruited in a single recruitment drive.
The Human Resources team from TCS informed that software companies had planned to recruit 40,000 persons to increase their man power for 2011, of which 70 per cent would be fresh engineers.
Rural students had excellent opportunities to get the best jobs in these multi national companies, he added.
Briefing development activities, Mr. Prabhu said the MBA Department was rated with a A-III Grade, first of its kind in southern districts, on a par with top premiere institutions like PSG Institute of Management and VIT University by the All India Management Association.
The department had signed the MoU with 36 business units as part of the industry-institute relationship.
According to the rank list for all branches in 454 engineering colleges affiliated to Anna University for 2010 examinations, Britty Baby of the college emerged as the state topper with 88 per cent of marks in Bio-Medical Engineering. Mr. Lakshmana Prabhu honoured Ms. Britty, who had joined M.Tech program in Coimbatore with a cash award of 10,000.
