RBVRR Womens College offers Course in Healthcare Management

The Department of Business Management, R.B.V.R.R. Women’s College has introduced a certificate programme in ‘Healthcare Management’ to enable the MBA students tap the career opportunities in the Healthcare sector, which is witnessing tremendous growth in India.

The programme was inaugurated by Prof. D. Obul Reddy, Principal, Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration. Prof. Reddy spoke about the career opportunities in the Healthcare Industry and said it was one of the fastest growing sectors and in particular Hyderabad was fast becoming a hub for Healthcare.

According to the KPMG Report, the Indian healthcare industry is estimated to double in value by 2012 and more than quadruple by 2017. Of the 32 Indian states that the report considered, the six states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh are forecasted to represent approximately 50 percent of the expenditure for 2009 – 2013 periods.

The programme was attended by the Hon. Secretary, Prof. Tippa Reddy; Director PG Courses, Dr. Rama Krishna Reddy and Director, MBA Programme, Prof. Renuka Sagar.
