Residential School opened for Differently Abled

Collector V. Arun Roy inaugurated a residential school for the differently-abled children in Krishnagiri on Thursday.

M. Baskaran, Chief Educational Officer (Sarva Siksha Abiyan) and C. Manimaran, District Differently-abled Welfare Officer, were present.

The school is jointly developed by the District Differently-abled Welfare Office and the Sarva Siksha Abiyan.

Students from the age of 6 to 14 will be admitted in the residential school. After giving special training to the differently-abled children, they will be admitted in the main stream. The student intake will be 50.

The school is located at Subedhar Medu area on the Krishnagiri-Chennai National Highway. Mr. Arun Roy inspected the building to verify whether it had proper facilities for the children.
