New Course in Computer Hardware Servicing

The Rotary Club of the Nilgiris has proposed to start a course in Computer Hardware Servicing to benefit students who have not completed 10th Standard. The beneficiaries would be taught how to assemble a computer, change parts in the hardware and upgrade facilities.

According to a club press note issued at Coonoor the normal charge for such a course lasting about three months was [rupee]10,000 per person. However the Rotary Club will collect only [rupee]1,000.

The objective was to help students belonging to the economically weaker sections of the society.

Pointing out that it will encourage the youth to go in for self employment, he said that with little or no experience, trained persons can start a business. Those interested can contact Club President Javrilal Parekh or Secretary Norman Wood on,

Apart from the Hardware and Servicing Course, admissions are also open for free knitting, sewing and stitching courses. All the courses commence on October 1, 2011.

Free Training For IAS / IPS / IFS / KAS

The Rotary Club of Udupi-Manipal will sponsor students from Scheduled Castes ( SC ), Scheduled Tribes ( ST ), and Other Backward Communities ( OBC ) of Udupi for IAS / IPS / IFS / KAS examinations. The training will be held in Udupi or Bangalore.
