Ten Students of Sarada School get Scholarships
Competitions for students and distribution of scholarships marked the Founder’s Day celebrated at the Seshasayee Institute of Technology on Tuesday.
District Collector T. Soundiah handed over scholarships of Rs. 1,000 each to 10 students of Sarada School in BHEL Township.
The Collector said hard work and punctuality determine the progress of an individual and the country. He praised the farsightedness of the founder V. Seshasayee in starting many industrial ventures.
Fix your goals and work towards achieving them, Mr. Soundiah advised the students.
The Hon. Secretary T.R. Sivaramakrishnan described V. Seshasayee as a multi-faceted personality with interests in philosophy, literature and Sanskrit.
Several industries came into being owing to the model of sustained power supply conceptualised by the founder in the early part of the 20th century.
