Scholarship must for all Eligible Candidates

To ensure that eligible students reap the benefits of scholarships, educational institutions have been asked to send a detailed list of such candidates. Giving this information, chief development officer Atal Kumar Rai emphasized that the process was aimed at ensuring that no eligible student was left out of the post – matric scholarships and fee reimbursement.

In a meeting held at Sangam Gallery, the CDO said that needy students should be provided financial assistance for the uplift of their educational career. The meeting was attended by Registrars of Universities and heads of educational institutions.

During the meeting, he said that it would be the responsibility of educational institutions to ensure that no eligible candidate was deprived from applying online. He further said that as per state government’s directive, an eligible candidate should fill the prescribed form online before 31st December, 2013.

He should submit the form to the educational institution concerned within seven days of the last date. Further, the educational institution concerned should verify student’s data by 20th January, 2014.

After sending the scholarship form online, print out of the scholarship application form would be send to the educational institution within a week. The educational institution should give detailed information regarding various courses being run by the institution and its nodal officer on the website Further, the educational institution should obtain the login id and password from the social welfare officer.

An SMS will be sent to applicant’s mobile after verification of the application form. All information relating to the scholarship scheme and other details were available on the website.
