Innovation centre to be set up at Infopark
Science and Technology Innovation Centre (STIC), an initiative of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) to access top – end talent and knowledge – based resources in Kerala, will be launched at Infopark on February 08, 2011 at 2 p.m.
Hussain Mohammed Al Mahmoudi, Director General, SCCI, will launch the facility at a function to be held at Thapasya in Infopark. Mana S Sultan Al Suwaidi, UAE Commercial Attache to India, will also be present.
STIC is a partnership venture between SCCI and Infopark Kochi as a platform for the development of business between India and Middle East.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between SCCI and Infopark Kochi, in November 2009 when Kerala IT team had visited UAE.
“The Science and Technology Innovation Centre is being set up at Thapasya in Infopark Kochi by SCCI to facilitate exchange of knowledge between Emirates of Sharjah and Kerala. The Centre will help businesses from Sharjah and Kerala to actively engage and transfer science and technology from the lab to a global community to spearhead knowledge intensive industries and companies in the 21st Century.” Binu Pazhoor, CEO, Infopark Kochi, said.
