It will help in ensuring for all, says Krishnagiri Collector
Krishnagiri: For the first time in the country, the Krishnagiri district administration has developed a software to track school dropouts
Out of school children and child labourers are enrolled in special schools, but they drop out of various reasons.
The software will help in identifying their status and the financial position of their families.
The district administration will provide necessary support to the families. Each such child will be ministered up to Standard X with the help of the Web-based software available at

The objective is to establish “a practical link between government and to ensure education for all,” Collector Santosh Babu told The Hindu on Monday.
total 8,867 out-of-school children in Krishnagiri district, more than 6,000 have been enrolled till date.
The profiles of 5,809 children and their families have been uploaded.
The profiles include a photograph of the child, details about the parent’s occupation, economic status, school last studied, reasons for the dropout, date of release and admission.
A code number will be allotted to each child.
Mr. Babu said trained personnel from the village volunteer force in each village panchayat would collect details about every child and enter it into panchayat/block computer on a quarterly basis.
Details of children who have not been monitored would also be available.
The demands of the families to keep their children in school could also be posted.
Their needs would be met immediately to ensure that their children got education.
