Incubation Centre opened at S.R. Engineering College
JNTU Vice-Chancellor D.N. Reddy has exhorted students to come up with innovative ideas to address serious problems, such as fuel scarcity, facing the country.
Addressing the students after inaugurating an incubation centre at the SR Engineering College premises set up VR Enterprises here on Monday, Prof. Reddy said Korean countries had 82 per cent of technical experts while India had only 12 per cent of technically talented people among the population.
The students should make use of the facilities being provided by the institutions to innovate and invent new things to help society face challenges.
“Excelling in academics is the only part of the education. Being part of research and development is what makes you different and survive the tough competition in a global village,” he told the students who gathered in large numbers.
The College Principal P.Venkateswarlu wanted the students to develop team spirit and co-operate with each other to excel in career.
SR Educational Society secretary, A. Madhukar Reddy, said every student would be encouraged to realise his / her dream and the college would provide the right kind of environment to innovate and invent.
Adjunct Professor, SR Engineering College, Chandu Sambasiva Rao, N. Suman Kumar, Head Department of MBA, heads of the various departments and the college staff were present.
