Torch Rally kicks off E – Week at Sri Krishna College
A torch rally by students of Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology that began at Ukkadam signal on 9th February, 2013 morning marked the beginning of week-long activities to mark the Entrepreneurship Week ( E – Week ) of the National Entrepreneurship Network.
The college has planned 270 events based on the theme “Innovating for India”. It is being organised by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the college that promotes entrepreneurial skill among the students.
The Hindu is the media partner for the event.
The torch rally, flagged off by S. Malarvizhi, Chairperson and Managing Trustee, Sri Krishna Institutions, passed through Athupalam, Karumbukadai, B.K. Pudur, Kuniamuthur and reached the college. C. Sreedharan, Director, Woodbriar Group, Coimbatore, received the torch and formally inaugurated the E – Week.
He urged students to take up entrepreneurship and motivated them using examples of entrepreneurs who have succeeded in life battling odds.
He also launched ‘Siffy Girls’, a campus venture, which was followed by the events.
The events would include various competitions that would be conducted in the college, rallies and other events in various parts of the city to create awareness about the E – Week to the public.
Vasanthi Venugopal, Educator, National Entrepreneurship Network, offered felicitations.
Results of Sri Krishna College published
The results of the autonomous examination of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College held during November were published on 14th December, 2012.

Results of the autonomous examinations of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College, held in April, is published on 18th May, 2012.

CFRS Conference at Sri Krishna College
The Department of Commerce of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College will organise a national conference on “Convergence of Financial Reporting Standards” in Coimbatore on 3rd February, 2012 and 4th February, 2012 .
The Accounting Standards Board of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India formulates the accounting standards based on International Financial Reporting Standards ( IFRS ).
The paradigm shift in the economic environment in India during the last few years has led to increasing attention being devoted to accounting standards.
According to a release, the aim of the conference is to bridge the gap between the accounting professionals and academics, and to ensure smooth implementation of new accounting standards in India.
