It’s Exam Time for SSLC Students 2013
Over 24,000 students of Pudukottai district appeared for the SSLC examinations that commenced in the State on Wednesday. The students wrote the examinations at 82 centres, including two newly notified centres. As many as 2,043 personnel and officials were drafted for examination duty. The District Collector, C.Manoharan, visited a few centres.
A total of 40,184 students – 20,579 boys and 19,605 girls – appeared for the SSLC examinations in 93 centres in the district on Wednesday. Fifteen flying squads led by the Chief Educational Officer were pressed into service to check malpractices. K.Baskaran, Collector, visited some examination centres.
As many as 19,692 students wrote the examinations out of which 9,426 are boys and 10,216 girls. Examinations were held in 50 centres.
About 9,378 candidates – boys 4,973 and girls 4,405 – wrote the examination at 26 centres in the district. A total of 666 personnel have been drafted for examination duty and 60 flying squads were formed to check malpractices. Collector Darez Ahmed visited the centre at Government Higher Secondary School.
A total of 14,116 students appeared for the examination in Karur district. District Collector S. Jayandhi visited some examination centres. A total of 14,116 regular students – 7,444 boys and 6,236 girls – and 436 private candidates wrote the exam at 46 centres across the district.
Ms. Jayandhi said that 110 flying squad have been formed to check malpractices .
A total of 3,038 students took the examination in the district. Students from 27 government schools, six government-aided, and 19 private schools wrote the exam from 13 centres . The total number of regular candidates included 1,579 girls, 1,459 boys, and three visually-impaired students. About 315 private candidates too took the exam. The administration had deputed 184 supervisors and two flying squads of four persons each for monitoring the exam.
