Students told to develop Positive Attitude
The engineering and technology students should apply their knowledge for constructive purposes and help people around them to enhance their quality of life, Law Minister Durai Murugan has said.
He was speaking after inaugurating Futura 2010, a national-level Students’ Technical Symposium and Project Design Contest at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology in Sathyamangalam on Friday.
The scientific knowledge, he said, should always help the community to achieve positive development.
The engineering students, right from their college days, should develop a positive attitude and apply their technical knowledge for the development of the country, he stressed.
Mr. Durai Murugan further said that the engineering students could play a vital role in ensuring a sustainable economic development.
They should bring in solutions that would fuel the growth of all the sectors.
The Minister said that the dynamic business environment and a buoyant investment scene in Tamil Nadu had helped the State attract huge foreign direct investments from the MNCs in the last four years.
This led to the generation of a large number of job opportunities for the educated youth in the State, he added. The availability of quality human resource, he said, was one of the primary reasons attracting MNCs to invest in the State.
Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting S. Jagathrakshakan called upon the students to enhance their practical knowledge. The younger generation could not progress just with bookish knowledge.
