Summer Science Camp in Vellore from May 15 to 17
The District Science Centre, Vellore would be conducting a 3 – day Summer Science Camp on its premises in Sathuvachari here from 15th May, 2013 to 17th May, 2013.
According to a release from the District Science Officer, Vellore, the camp would be held daily from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Students studying in standards VII, VIII and IX should register their names by visiting the District Science Centre, Chennai – Bangalore National Highway, Sathuvachari, Vellore – 632009.
Registration would be done only for 50 students on a first come first served basis.
Practical experiments and classes based on physics, chemistry, maths, biology, environmental sciences, yoga and psychology would be conducted during the camp.

Chennai Summer Camp for Students
A science summer camp for school students, organised by Nehru Children’s Cultural Association, will be held from 20th April, 2013 to 31st May, 2013.

SPR School to organise Summer Coaching Camp
In order to upgrade the communication skills and mathematics knowledge, the SPR School of Excellence in Karimnagar has decided to conduct special programme from 9th May, 2011 to 23rd May, 2011 at its school premises in Jyothinagar locality in the town.
Disclosing this to newsmen here on 5th May, 2011, school correspondent R. Yakaiah said that they would conduct summer coaching programme for students of sixth standard to ninth standards from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
During the programme, they would impart special communication skills and give tips about the Maths concepts.
Besides, they would also conduct some indoor games for the students.
He said that they had designed the Maths coaching to solve the problems with his creativity.
He said that the Communication skills would be taught through interpersonal interaction and also with the help of computer designed programmes.
School director M. Vijaymohan Reddy, Maths in – charge M. Gurunadham, English in – charge K. Srinivas and others were also present on the occasion.
Summer Coaching Camp in Vijayawada
Municipal Corporation has provided an opportunity to school students from the economically weaker sections in the city to learn the basics of computers at three e-learning centres during their summer holidays.
A 45 – day summer coaching camp was formally inaugurated by district Collector S.A.M. Rizvi on 2nd May, 2011 at the C.V.R. Girls Municipal Corporation High School.
The Collector said those interested students could attend the training programme at any of the three e-learning centres – P.S.M. Girls M.C. High School, M.K. Baig. M.C. High School, and C.V.R. Girls M.C. High School.
He inspected the facilities at the e-learning centre and inquired about the courses offered. He interacted with the students and hoped that the training would be useful for them.
The students would be taught the computer fundamentals for 10 days, MS Office for 30 days, and Internet concepts for five days, said centre in-charge Prakash.
Students would be given certificates at the end of the training programme, he said.
Students, who appeared for 10th class examination, could also attend the classes. Municipal Commissioner G. Ravi Babu attended the programme.
Maths Summer Camps in Hyderabad
Nischal’s Smart Learning Solutions Private Limited is organising four batches of weeklong summer camps across the twin cities to inculcate effective learning of Mathematics among school children.
The camps will begin on 2nd May, 2011 at 20 locations and continue to be held up to 28th May, 2011.
The mathematical concepts to be taught at the camps are devised by Nischal Narayanam, the two – time Guinness World Record holder in memorising, said Narayanam’s mother Dr. Padmavathy at a press conference here on 27th April, 2011.
The 15 – year – old has developed a ‘Math Lab’ with tools of learning which will be used at the camps, she said.
Learners at the camp will be divided into three groups respectively for primary (Classes III to V), upper primary (Classes VI and VII) and secondary (Classes VIII to X) levels of school children.
Four batches of six days each will begin successively on 2nd May, 2011, 9th May, 2011, 16th May, 2011 and 23rd May, 2011. The registration fee for each student per batch is 1, 000.
Students will have choice between two sessions in the day for each age – based – group, with admission limited to 25 students in each session, said Dr. Padmavathy.
The camps will be organised through tie – ups with various private schools, with the help of teachers trained in using the tools, she added.
Athapur, A.S.Rao Nagar, Banjara Hills, Begumpet, Bowenpally, Charminar, Chintal, Dilsukhnagar, Gachibowli, Habsiguda, Khairatabad, Koti, Kukatpally, Madhapur, Miyapur, Narayanguda, Nallakunta, Secunderabad, S.R. Nagar and Uppal will be the locations for the camps.
“Students at the camp will not learn Mathematics. They will learn how to learn Mathematics,” said Narayanam, who was present at the press meet, “The Higher Math Lab to be used in the camp will have 550 components, 23 products, 18 booklets and 13 animated DVDs.”

Free Summer Camps for Children
Avinashilingam Deemed University for Women, through the Gandhian Studies’ Centre, will conduct free summer camps for school children at different locations.
According to a press release, the camps will comprise classes on communication skills, personality development, painting, health education, handicraft making, and field visits.
Students in the age group of 11 to 14 will be given preference. Only 30 children will be permitted in each camp.

Summer Camp at Gandhi Museum from April 15
The 27th summer camp on “Histrionic Talents and Skill Development” will be held from 15th April, 2011 to 15th May, 2011 at Gandhi Memorial Museum in collaboration with Government Museum in Madurai.
