Swami Shivananda Community College inaugurated
Three – Month Programme in functional English language to be offered.
Swami Sivananda Community College, registered with Indira Gandhi National Open University, was inaugurated at a function held here recently.
The new college will offer two programmes – a Certificate Course in Training Support Staff for Children with Learning Disabilities; and a Three Month Programme in Functional English Language.
R. Panchanathan, director, Talent Consultancy and member of the Sivananda Community College Academic Committee, in his inaugural address, said that such community – reach out programs should be part of any educational institution.
He appreciated the initiative in starting the need based Courses.
Professor Panchanathan said that the programme on Functional English Language would provide an essential add on to one’s employ activity in all areas.
R. Shyamala, District Differently abled Welfare Officer, launched the Certificate Course.
Usha Ramakrishnan, Chairperson, Vidyasagar, Chennai, in her keynote address said that every child is capable of great achievements and therefore hedeserves attention.
She complimented Sivananda Community College for taking up a very important area of training. K.G. Meenakshi, Chairman, Community College, offered Felicitations.
