Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, Pune launches Unique Program of Study

The Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, Pune, proposes to launch a unique programme of study in the Distance Learning mode – a Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Administration.

Such a programme of study has already become popular in several developed and developing countries of the world.

The educational thinkers and planners expect that the current enrolment of about 11 million will go up to almost 20- 22 million in the next five to seven years.

Sector Expansion

The open and distance learning sector of education will expand its enrolment from the current level of about 1.8 to 2.0 million to about 8 million.

In this scenario, the country needs trained manpower for running these Institutions efficiently and with competence.

The postgraduate diploma precisely attempts to meet this growing need.

The course will cover developing skills in human relationship, problem-solving and conflict resolution including crisis management, evaluation methodology including performance evaluation of educational Institutions/ personnel, professional development of self and other staff of the institution – both teaching and non-teaching and educational research.

The PGDEA is a four-semester (two-year) programme and starts in July 2008. Last date for admissions is July 19.
