Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) Professor received Fellowship for 2008
Chinnusamy, Professor (Agronomy), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), received the Indian Society of Weed Science (ISWS) Fellowship for 2007-08 at the biennial workshop on weeds crops held at Patna recently.
N L Maurya, Vice-Chancellor, Rajendra Agricultural University, Bihar, conferred the fellowship on Chinnusamy for his outstanding contribution in weed science research.
His work included integrated weed management for sugarcane, major pulses, drum seeded and aerobic rice and parasitic weeds, which have been incorporated in the state-level crop production guide for general adoption.
He is presently leading the all-India coordinated program on weed control as principal investigator in the TNAU.
