TNAU relaxes eligibility criteria

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has relaxed the eligibility criteria for applying to courses.

According for a release from the university, students who have chosen any one of the following categories are eligible to apply for any of the following TNAU undergraduate courses: mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science/ statistics/ biochemistry/ home science.

Botany, physics, chemistry and zoology. And, Biology, physics, chemistry and computer science / microbiology / biochemistry / nursing/ nutritional dietetics.

The courses available at TNAU are B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. Horticulture, B.Sc. Forestry, B.Sc. Home Science, B.Tech Agricultural Engineering, B.Tech Biotechnology, B.Tech Horticulture, B.Tech Food Process Engineering, B.Tech Energy and Environmental Engineering, B.Tech Bioinformatics, B.S. Agribusiness Management and B.Tech Agricultural Information Technology.

Application forms would be issued till June 9.

The last date for submitting filled in forms is June 9. The forms could be obtained by post or in person from the Dean (Agriculture) and Chairman Admissions, Agricultural College and Research Institute, TNAU, Coimbatore 641-003, by sending a letter of requisition along with a Demand Draft for Rs.600. (Rs.370 in the case of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes candidates) towards registration fee and postage with the address label written in capital letters.

The draft should be addressed to the above said address payable at Coimbatore.

Application forms could also be downloaded from www.tnau.ac.in.

Those who avail themselves of this option should enclose a demand draft of Rs.600 while sending the filled in forms. (Rs.370 in the case of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes candidates).

The forms would also be available in all the constituent colleges of TNAU, such as Agricultural College and Research Institute and Home Science College and Research Institute at Madurai, Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College and Research Institute at Tiruchi, Agricultural College and Research Institute at Killikulam, Horticultural College and Research Institute at Periyakulam, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute at Kumulur and Forest College and Research Institute at Mettupalayam, and also at the Urban Horticulture Development Centre, Chennai.

The affiliated colleges of TNAU, Adhiparasakthi Agricultural College, Kalavi, Vellore, will also issue the applications.
