Ugam signs MoU with KG college
Ugam Solutions, a marketing decision support solution provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with KG College of Arts and Science here as part of its industry – institute interaction.
Sunil Mirani, Chief Executive Officer of the company, told that it would train the students during their last semester and when they graduated they would have an immediate employment option. This would be for students doing computer – related courses.
Ugam was in Coimbatore for more than a year now and employed about 200 people. “We are trying to see how we can grow this in a systematic way,” he said. “If this model of industry – institute interaction works, we will take it to other Universities too,” he added.
Apart from Mumbai and Coimbatore in India, the company had operations in the U.S. and the U.K.. “Our plans here are to grow.” The employee strength in Coimbatore formed 20 per cent of the company’s total workforce.
