U.K. Universities offers scholarships for UG, PG, Ph.D Programs

Campus Abroad, consultant in overseas education, will conduct interviews to select students for availing scholarship from universities in the U.K. University of Salford, University of Hull, University of Glamorgan, Oxford Brookes University, University of East Anglia, Heriot-Watt University and Bournemouth University are part of this scholarship programme.

These universities offer full and partial scholarships to Indian students for undergraduate, post-graduate and Ph. D. courses.

University of Salford will award scholarships to students joining PG courses in September 2008 or January 2009. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit and scholarship winners will be informed in writing once final results from previous academic study have been considered.

University of Hull scholarships are available to students of biology, science, chemistry, computer science, engineering, physics, geography, sports science and psychology. The University of Glamorgan will consider Indian students for scholarship when they apply.

Confirmation of scholarship will be included in the offer letter. Oxford Brookes University offers the John Henry Brookes International scholarships for students applying for an undergraduate degree starting in September 2008 at Oxford Brookes. Successful students will receive scholarships to be deducted from the tuition fees in first year.

University of East Anglia offers a scholarship in the form of 10 to 50 per cent waiver in the tuition fees, which is given on a first-come-first-served basis. Scholarships are awarded to students on the basis of academic merit and are normally for three years for bachelor and Ph. D. programmes and a year for the masters’ programmes. They are available for all schools of study.

Heriot-Watt University offers partial scholarships for up to 50 high-calibre students on select masters’ courses. Scholarship applications can only be made once an offer to study the course has been issued. Awards are made on a competitive basis. Students enrolled for Heriot-Watt University are also eligible for Scotland International Scholarship Programme.

Scotland International Scholarship Programme offers 22 scholarships for students for the academic year 2008-09. The scholarship covers the tuition fees and a living allowance. Priority is given to science, technology and creative industries including arts, design and culture.
