University of Mumbai Workshop on AICTE New Policies

New Policy Initiative of AICTE will be discussed in Mumbai :

University of Mumbai has organized a Workshop on “New Policy Initiative of AICTE with regard to Higher Education and Technical Education” for the Directors / Principals of the Institutions / Colleges affiliated to the University of Mumbai, to discuss the new developments in Higher and Technical Education ( Integrated Programmes, Vocational Courses, etc. ) on Saturday, the 20th October, 2012 from 2.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M. at Sir Cowasjee Jehangir Hall ( Convocation Hall ), University of Mumbai, Fort, Mumbai.

Prof. S. S. Mantha, Hon’ble Chairman, AICTE, New Delhi has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest and to deliver the Key Note Address at the Workshop. Dr. Rajan Welukar, Vice – Chancellor, University of Mumbai will preside over the workshop. The Directors of Institutions / Principals of affiliated colleges are requested to attend the workshop.

In another event, AICTE – eINDIA 2012, the eight edition of India’s largest ICT event which is being convened at Hyderabad International Convention centre, Andhra Pradesh, India. The event is being organized by All India Council for Technical Education ( AICTE ); Center for science, Development and Media studies ( CSDMs ) and Elets Technomedia Pvt. Ltd.

AICTE – eINDIA will comprise of 3 parallel thematic tracks’ namely – eGov, digitalLearning, and eHealth. The digitallearning Track in eINDIA 2012 would focus on the education sector and the challenges and opportunities in this field. Key thematic areas will include higher education, school education, vocational and skill training and open and distance learning’
