The Uttar Pradesh government, announced the schedule of Teacher Eligibility Test ( TET ) for the 2014. The government order issued on Friday states that the advertisement will be published on 10th December, 2013 after which candidates can register online. The test is aimed at recruiting teachers for government primary and upper primary schools.

Though recruitment for the last test have not been done, the TET 2014 will be held on 22nd February, 2014 and 23rd February, 2014. The last date for the online applications is 6th January, 2014. From 7th January, 2014 candidates will get a chance to edit their applications in case of an error. The Pariksha Niyamak Pradhikari, who will conduct the test, will apprise the total number of applications to the government by 22nd January, 2014. Examination centres will be fixed by 25th January, 2014. From 6th February, 2014 candidates will be able to download their admit cards. After the test, the answer keys will be uploaded on which candidates can raise objections, if any, by 28th February, 2014. The objections will be reviewed from 1st March, 2014 to 6th March, 2014 and the updated answer key will be uploaded on the website on 10th March, 2014.

For candidates seeking appointment in primary schools, the question paper will be of 150 marks. Out of this, 30 questions of one mark each will be on child nutrition and another 30 questions of one mark each will be based on comprehensions and another 30, again of one mark each will test the Hindi grammar. Remaining 60 questions of one mark each will be based on language expression which has been replaced by essay this year. Same sections will apply for appointments in junior schools. To qualify, general category candidates will have to score 60% while those belonging to OBC, SC and ST will need to score 55%, which is 83 marks.

Candidates interested should have a graduation and a post-graduation along with BEd degree. Also, those who have Urdu in UG and PG and have done BTC or BEd will also be eligible for TET.

 

UPTET Eligibility 2014

Uttar Pradesh Government has conducted UPTET 2011 for the recruitment of Assistant Teacher in Primary School. The recruitment was to be conducted on the basis of UPTET ranking. Now the present Government revert the previous design and now no primary teacher recruitment will be done on the merit of UPTET.

Like other states Teacher Eligibility Tests i.e. CTET, RTET, HTET the UPTET will also be a Screening Test only.This year UPTET Exam  is going to be conducted by Exam Controlling Authority  i.e. Vibhag pariksha niyamak pradhikari.

The Applications are to go Online this year. UPTET regulatory authority are planning to establish online application process for Utter Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test ( UPTET ) 2014. Its biggest advantage would be that time period will not be long in computerization of coming application forms.

Please Note : Applications shall be made available from January 2013 onwards.

Minimum Qualifications for Level – I ( Teachers for Class I – V ) :

  • Senior Secondary ( or its equivalent ) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education ( by whatever name known ). or
  • Senior Secondary ( or its equivalent ) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education ( by whatever name known ) in accordance with the NCTE ( Recognition Norms and Procedure ), Regulation, 2002. or
  • Senior Secondary ( or its equivalent ) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 – year Bachelor of Elementary Education ( B.El.Ed ). or
  • Senior Secondary ( or its equivalent ) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 – year Diploma in Education ( Special Education ). or
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education ( by whatever name know n).

Minimum Qualifications for Level – II ( Teachers for Class VI – VIII ) :

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final of 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education ( by whatever name known ). or
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 – year Bachelor in Education ( B.Ed ). or
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 – year Bachelor in Education ( B.Ed ), in accordance with the NCTE ( Recognition Norms and Procedure ) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
  • Senior Secondary ( or its equivalent ) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 – year Bachelor in Elementary Education ( B.El.Ed ).
  • Senior Secondary ( or its equivalent ) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 – year B.A / B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed. / B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 – year B.Ed. ( Special Education ).

UPTET 2014 Qualifying Marks & Relaxation :

The candidates appearing in UP TET will be issued Marks Statement. The candidates securing 60% and above marks will be issued UPTET Certificate. School managements ( Government, local bodies, government aided and unaided ).

  1.  May consider giving concessions to persons belonging to SC / ST, OBC, differently abled persons etc. in accordance with their extant reservation.
  2.  Qualifying the RTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment / employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

Instruction Regarding Test Booklet :

  • Every Test Booklet has a serial number mentioned on the front page which the candidate must carefully write at the appropriate place on the Answer Sheet.
  • The candidate must put his / her signature on the front page of the Test Booklet at the appropriate place.
  • In case the candidate finds any defect in the Test Booklet, he / she should request the invigilator to change the same before writing any particulars.
  • Answer Sheet must be returned to the invigilator before leaving the examination hall.

Instruction Regarding Answer Sheet ( OMR Sheet ) :

  • The candidate must read the instructions given on the Answer Sheet carefully. Use only Black / Blue ball point pen strictly as per directions mentioned on the Answer Sheet.
  • In case the candidate finds any defect in the answer sheet, he / she should request the invigilator to change the same.
  • Do not fold the Answer Sheet or make any stray marks or do any rough work on it.
  • The candidate should fill in his / her Roll No. and Test Booklet No. printed on the front page of the Test Booklet in the proper blocks as mentioned on the Answer Sheet.
  • The candidate must put his / her signature at the appropriate place on the Answer Sheet with Black / Blue ball pen.
  • Calculator / Mobile Phones will not be allowed inside the Examination Centre. Answers to the questions are to be given by darkening the relevant oval ( circle ) completely with black / blue ball point pen.

  • Sir, Am I eligible for senior secondary school teacher in Uttar Pradesh? I am B.A with 45% & M.A with 50% in English & doing B.Ed(one year). I have no subject as Hindi but know to read and write Hindi as well. Can other state's candidate contest for UP's teachership?
