VIIT launches Multiple E-Plus Clubs
The students of Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) seem to have drawn inspiration from Shiv Khera’s quote, “Winners don’t do different things, they do things differently”.
In an innovative move, the newly inducted members of The Hindu Education Plus Club (E-Plus club) performed a couple of skits to highlight the importance of soft skills in today’s world at the launch of the clubs in their Duvvada campus here on Monday.
VIIT launched eight E-Plus clubs simultaneously. Over 240 students from the departments of EEE, ECE, CSE, IT and mechanical engineering came forward to start the clubs.
Addressing the students, the Principal of VIIT M. Ramjee stressed the importance of timely and effective communication. Quoting an incident from the history of World War II, he said, “Japan and America turned foes during the war period just because the communication between the two countries was not effective and timely.
Ineffective communication resulted in the attack of Pearl Harbour by Japan and which was followed by the bombing of Japan by US.”
He underscored the need for learning the English language as it could be used to improve relationships.
