Visveswaraya Engineering College bags Ranks in AMIE Exams

Students of Visveswaraya Institute of Engineering Technology, Mattakara, here have bagged 19 ranks of the total 44 ranks at the AMIE examinations.

The examinations are conducted by The Institution of Engineers (India) in 2009.

Speaking to reporters here, director of the institute Tom T. Joseph said that the institute has maintained its high success rate in the examinations this year as well.

In 2009, students of the institute claimed 11 ranks in AMIE section A tests and 6 ranks in section B tests, which included Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics and Communication branches.

Besides these, G. Chitra and M.P. Binneesh, students of the institute, have secured the Glasgow Awards for securing highest marks in all branches of the course.
