XLRI increases PGDBM Seats to 180
Xavier Labor Relations Institute School of Business and Human Resources – Jamshedpur ( XLRI – Jamshedpur ) has added 60 extra seats to its Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management ( PGDBM ) program, bringing up the total number of seats to 180. This change will be effective from the academic session of 2013 – 2014.
XLRI – Jamshedpur officials claimed that the change has been approved by the All India Council of Technical Education ( AICTE ), which is the statutory body of the technical education system throughout India.
Until 2012, XLRI – Jamshedpur had been offering regular and full time 2 – year management programs titled Human Resources Management ( HRM ) and Business Management ( BM ), with each program consisting of 120 seats. With the recent addition of 60 extra seats in the PGDBM program, the number of seats will total 300.
XLRI – Jamshedpur officials claimed that the institute is sufficiently equipped in terms of faculty strength as well as hostel facility to cater to the increase in number of students.
As per XLRI – Jamshedpur officials, the institute will also strive to gain approval to increase the number of PGDHRM seats by 60, to be effective from the next academic session.
XLRI – Jamshedpur officials have claimed that there is a huge waiting list of applicants contending for the additional seats.
