Yadava College Semester Examination Results published
The results of April semester examinations of Yadava College Madurai, an autonomous institution, were published on 15th June, 2012.
A press release from R. Palanichamy, controller of examinations, said that the results of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, M.Phil., Diploma and Certificate Courses have been published and the results posted on the college website.
The last date to apply for revaluation is 22nd June, 2012.
Peer Team from NAAC to visit Yadava College
A peer team from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) headed by R.P.Kaushik (JNU), Member, Executive Council, NAAC, Gulshan Kataria, Head of the Department of English, and Dean, Punjabi University, Patiala and Sr.Albina, Principal, Mount Carmel College will be visiting Yadava College for re-accreditation.
Addressing a conference here on Monday, Prof Kaushik who served as ambassador to Turkmenistan, said that the NAAC assessment for the college had lapsed since it had crossed five years.
“We will be validating the self-study report by the institution for re-accreditation purpose.”
The team will undertake several components into account which is part of an exhaustive process to assess the institute’s various qualitative aspects.
Curricular aspects, teaching-learning and evaluation, research, consultancy and extension, infrastructure and learning resources, student support and progression governance and leadership and innovative practices are the seven categories which will be part of the assessment. Each department will be taken into account.
This assessment will be followed by presentation of a comprehensive report to the executive council of NAAC after which NAAC will do the grading, certification and accreditation based on the evaluation report submitted by the peer team.
Social aspects like the inclusive nature of the college, number of published papers in refereed journals of national and international repute would be taken into account apart from the infrastructural facilities, the team said.
The team will be in the city for three days and will prepare an exit report when they leave.
