Jammu and Kashmir Class 12th Exam 2012 Results Analysis :

Last Year State Board of School Education ( BOSE ), with girls once again outshining boys in overall pass percentage as well as merit list. While 25 out of 30 students sharing first three positions in all the four streams – Science, Arts, Commerce & Home Science – are girls, the female candidates fared better in overall pass percentage too.

“30,814 students out of 52,268 qualified the examination, putting the pass percentage at 59,” Showkat Usman, Public Relations Officer of the State Board of School Education told Greater Kashmir. “While the pass percentage of boys is 58, the percentage of girls who have qualified the examination is 60,”. The BOSE official said that 6565 students fetched distinction while 12246, 9647 and 2356 students respectively passed the examination with first, second and third divisions.
