Maulana Azad Education Foundation - MAEF, a registered Society, is funded by Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, through a Corpus Fund which is kept intact / invested in Banks and only interest income therefrom is to be used for its schemes. Presently the Corpus Fund is Rs. 425.00 crores which will be increased to Rs. 550 crores during 2010 - 2011 and to Rs. 700 crores by 2011 - 2012. Expected interest income on the Corpus Fund in 2010 - 2011 will be approximately Rs. 37 crores only.

MAEF invites applications for providing Maulana Azad National Scholarship 2010 with the following criteria :

  • Maulana Azad Education Foundation is providing Maulana Azad National Scholarship of Rs. 12,000/- each (6,000/- in XI & 6,000/- in XII) to meritorious girl students belonging to National minorities (ie. Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist and Parsi) who have passed Class - X in 2010 with minimum qualifying marks of 55% and have taken regular admission in Class 11th and whose parent's annual total income is less than Rs. 1.00 lakh.

  • New MAEF Scholarship 2010 application forms, state wise quota, list of last year's Scholarship holders as well as further details terms & conditions are available on the MAEF website www.maef.nic.in from which the MAEF Scholarship application form can be downloaded free of cost. The MAEF Scholarship application forms are also available free of cost in the office of the Foundation at New Delhi as well as with State Government. Photocopy of the forms can be used freely.

  • Duly filled in application for MAEF Scholarship 2010 alongwith necessary enclosures should be sent directly by Post / Courier / Submitted in person to the mentioned :
  • The Secretary, Maulana Azad Education Foundation, Social Justice Service Centre, Chelmsford Road, New Delhi - 110 055.

  • The application of MAEF Scholarship 2010 must be received in the office of the Foundation by 31st August, 2010. Incomplete application forms as well as those received after due date would be rejected summarily.

  • Scholarship is strictly based on the marks obtained in 10th Class and the quota fixed for each state based on minority population. No recommendation from State / any other authority is required.

  • Scholarship amount is directly sent to the successful applicant by bank transfer / Cheque.

  • There is no fees / charges for either application form or for any other service in this regard. Nothing is to be paid to anyone.

  • No other scholarship or financial assistance is given by MAEF to students of any other class except as mentioned above.
  • The Maulana Azad Education Foundation has no branch or authorised offices / agency anywhere in India for this purpose.

MAEF invites applications for providing grant - in - aid to NGO 2010 with the following criteria :


  • Maulana Azad Education Foundation is providing grant - in - aid to NGO for construction / expansion of school building / hostel / ITI / VTC etc. where students belonging to minorities are more than 50%.
  • New MAEF Grant - Aid 2010 application forms, state wise quota as well as further details terms & conditions are available on the MAEF website www.maef.nic.in from which the application form can be downloaded free of cost. The same application form may be downloaded from the website free of cost. The application forms are also available free of cost in the office of the Foundation at New Delhi as well as with State Governments. Photocopy of the forms can be used freely.

  • Duly filled in MAEF Grant - Aid application alongwith necessary enclosures should be sent directly by Post / Courier / Submitted in person to the mentioned :

  • The application must be received in the office of the Foundation by 30th September, 2010. Applications for grant - in - aid 2010 received after 30th September, 2010 will be considered received by the beginning of next financial year April 2011.

  • NGO should be registered for the last three years. School / Institution should be recognised by relevant State / Central Government Board / Authority land for construction should be registered in name of society /school or on lease deed for at least 30 years.

  • No recommendation from State / any other authority is required.

  • There is no fees / charges for either MAEF Grant - Aid application form or for any other service in this regard. Nothing is to be paid to anyone.

  • The Maulana Azad Education Foundation has no branch or or authorised offices / agency anywhere in India for this purpose.
