An exciting opportunity exists for a doctoral student to participate in an important national research project that investigates innovative health service and professional practice in primary and community health care settings.
The focus of the research is on the complex inter – relationships that exist between learning, workplaces, technologies and practice. The research will ensure you a nationally important thesis topic and the opportunity to work as part of an experienced inter – disciplinary and international research team.
Your research will have a particular focus on the role of information and social technologies in health service and practice redesign. You will be working with a research team with expertise in health practice / policy, professional and workplace learning, technology and design and emerging technologies.
A major government health service provider is the industry partner. The experience will build your research capabilities and position you within an area of national and international research significance.

APAI Scholarship Availability :
APAI Scholarship will be offered to one person. Open for applications from 30 August, 2010 until October 29, 2010.
Payment Information : The value of the APAI scholarship is AUD26669 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
Research Information : The research is in the area of professional learning and practice redesign within health.It is required that your study starts no earlier than 24 January 2011 and no later than February 28, 2011.
Eligibility for APAI Scholarship :
To be considered eligible you need to receive an offer of a place in an Arts and Social Science doctoral program at UTS. Only citizens of Australia or permanent residents can apply.
