Exchange scholarships for current undergraduates are available at The University of Sydney, Australia
There are various exchange or travel scholarships available to students at The University of Sydney, depending on how, why and where you are travelling.
There are different organisations around campus who offer opportunities to current students to study, travel, research or intern overseas.
There are also opportunities offered by external organisations such as community based (e.g. Rotary), university based (e.g. the university to which you are applying), country based (e.g. the country to which you are travelling) or Government based (e.g. from the Australian Government).
Marion Macaulay Bequest Scholarship :
For the Students enrolled in either the Faculty of Arts or Faculty of Education & Social Work who will be undertaking studies or professional experience overseas. The proposed studies or professional experience must be approved by the Faculty concerned and count towards the applicant’s degree.
Value : $ 5,000 if the student holds a primary scholarship for the same scholarship period and $ 7,500 otherwise. The value is regardless of destination or duration of the period of travel.
Time Period : One year.
James Wolfensohn Travelling Scholarship :
For full time students who are Australian citizens who are enrolled in their later years of an undergraduate degree (excluding Honours). The proposed studies must be approved by the Faculty concerned and count towards the applicant’s degree. Preference will be given to students who wish to undertake their studies at an institution in Asia.
Value : $ 5000
Time Period : One semester.
The Larry Kwok Australia – China Scholarship and The Gough Whitlam Australia – China Scholarship :
For full – time undergraduate students who are Australian citizens or permanent residents, willing and able to undertake full – time study for a semester at Peking University.
Both scholarships are open to students of any discipline / subject which is provided by both participating institutions, but priority will be given to students of either or both of the faculties of Law and of Economics and Business for the first three years of the scheme, after which this priority status will be reviewed.
Value : $ 5000
Time Period : One semester
