Macquarie University Australia Scholarship

Macquarie University Australia Scholarship : evaluating complementary programs for primary school education offered by the 40K Foundation Australia in the Bangalore region, India.

Macquarie University ( Sydney, Australia ) is excited to offer a scholarship for an Indian student to undertake a PhD in education. The scholarship to evaluate complementary programs for primary school education is offered by the 40K Foundation Australia. The successful applicant will research, design and implement qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods to measure both education and social impact outcomes for the 40K projects around Bangalore.

The scholarship offers full tuition and a stipend ( living allowance ) for 3.5 years. The current stipend value is AU$24,653, indexed annually. The successful candidate will conduct field work in India and spend at least one year in Australia.

University of Macquarie Scholarship Eligibility

Applicants must :

  • be eligible for entry to a PhD in Education at Macquarie University
  • be willing to locate to Bangalore to conduct the research
  • be prepared to spend at least one year of study in Australia
  • be able to speak fluent English as well as one of the local languages, Tamil or Kannada.

Macquarie University seeks someone who is proactive, mature, independent, able to work with minimal supervision on the ground, committed to school education in rural communities and who has experience working in rural settings.
