New Rural Sustainability Scholarship Description :

The Rural Sustainability Scholarship has been established to support students from a rural area that may have considered undertaking a University degree financially unattainable.

This is a three-year scholarship, available to students from a rural or regional area* with a passion for sustainability in natural and agriculture systems, including the areas of carbon, water and food security.

Preference will be given to those who are eligible for Youth Allowance. Applicants must demonstrate that they are eligible for this award and will be required to supply a written statement supporting their passion for sustainability and financial need for the scholarship.

Value : $10,000 over three years.

The rural sustainability scholarship may be also be taken as a residential bursary at one of the following residential colleges which have reserved a small number of places attached to the Rural Sustainability Scholarship : International House, Mandelbaum House, Sancta Sophia, St Andrews College, St John’s College, St Pauls College, Wesley College, Women’s College.

Scholarship Application Deadline : 1st November 2010.
