James Martin Fellowship Description :

The Department of Physics invites applications for a James Martin Fellowship (of up to three years). Our theoretical programme includes large-scale structure, galaxy formation, galaxy evolution, cosmic background radiation anisotropy and non-baryonic dark-matter signatures.

The appointment to commence in October 2011 will be as follows : one James Martin fellowship in cosmological data analysis (with emphasis on the CMB and large scale structure) with Dr Joanna Dunkley, Dr Lance Miller (email : l.miller1@physics.ox.ac.uk) and Professor Pedro Ferreira.

The successful candidate should have a demonstrated capacity for independent work and be capable of initiating research in a lively group. The Beecroft Institute for Particle Astrophysics (BIPAC) will accommodate the new appointee.

Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience. A benefits package and a research budget for travel and other expenses will be provided.
