Christine Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Graduate Fellowships

Christine Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program Announces ITS 2018 Sessions and Call for Applications. This Graduate Fellowship Program of the National Academies-consisting of the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering, Institute of Medicine, and National Research Council is designed to engage its Fellows in the analytical process that informs U.S. science and technology policy. Fellows develop basic skills essential to working or participating in science policy at the federal, state, or local levels.

Christine Mirzayan Science Technology Policy Graduate Eligibility

Graduate and professional school students and those who have completed graduate studies within the last five years may apply.  Areas of study may include social / behavioral sciences, health and medicine, physical or biological sciences, engineering, law / business / public administration, or relevant interdisciplinary fields.

Undergraduates apply : The program is for graduate students, postdoctoral students, and professional school students ( e.g, Master’s, JD, MD, PhD ).

Fellowship Program have a citizenship requirement : The program is open to US citizens, US permanent residents, and non-US citizens.

Stipend

  • The 2018 session will begin on January 16 and conclude on April 6, and the Fellowship stipend will be $9000

Christine Mirzayan Science Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Apply

Fill out the application form. TWO references are required.  These must be relevant to your academic, professional, volunteer, or other related experience.  Towards the beginning of the application form, you will be asked to provide an email address for each referee.  Complete this section right away to ensure that your referees have adequate time to submit their reference before the application deadline. Mailed reference letters will NOT be accepted.

The Mirzayan Fellowship Program is currently reviewing applications for the 2018 session, and all of  the applicants will be informed about the status of their application around mid-November.

To ensure delivery of the recommendation request, you may wish to ask your referees to add policyfellows@nas.edu to their contacts, email address book, or safe senders list.
