English-Speaking Union Luard Scholarship
As we continue to honor the 40th Anniversary of the Luard scholarship, we are thrilled to announce the competition for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Since 1969, The English-Speaking Union has provided Luard Morse Scholarships to students attending United Negro College Fund schools as well as Howard and Hampton Universities to study in the United Kingdom. These merit awards, which are open to sophomores pursuing a four-year degree, provide $25,000 for a semester of study at any university in the United Kingdom. Students in all disciplines are eligible. The scholarship has been awarded to students majoring in economics, philosophy, finance, mathematics, liberal arts and the sciences. English-Speaking Union Luard Scholarship Eligibility
ESU Luard Morse Scholarships are merit awards open to students during their sophomore year who are pursuing a degree in any major field. The scholarships provide up to $25,000 towards tuition, program deposit, room and board, airfare, and stipend up to $2,500 for a semester at a British university. Candidates must excel academically (minimum 3.0 grade point average) and exhibit the maturity and independence necessary for study abroad.

Applications may be received via email or post, in accordance with the instructions listed in the ‘Checklist’ document below. Please complete the following forms and submit to your school’s coordinator in order to be considered for the scholarship.
