Hispanic Scholarship for USA Undergraduate Students, Graduate Students

HSF / General College Scholarships are designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a college degree. Scholarships are available on a competitive basis to :

  • Graduating High School Seniors
  • Community College Students
  • Community College Transfer Students
  • Undergraduate Students
  • Graduate Students

Award amounts generally range from $ 1,000 to $ 5,000.

HSF / General College Scholarship Eligibility Requirements :
CPT Online Practice Test

  • Be of Hispanic heritage
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I – 551 (not expired)
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Have plans to enroll full – time in a degree seeking program at a two or four year U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam during the 2011 – 2012 academic year
  • Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Be pursuing first undergraduate or graduate degree

HSF / Honda Scholarship Program, USA

Research Scholarship for Hispanic Heritage and USA Citizen

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund and the American Honda Motor Company have partnered to provide financial resources to outstanding Latino undergraduate students interested in a career in the automotive industry. Awards are in the amount of $ 5,000 and are disbursed in Fall 2011.

Honda seeks to provide an inclusive work environment that encourages all associates to share their ideas and actively participate in the effort to create original technologies and products for Honda customers.

HSF / Honda Scholarship Eligibility Requirements :

  • Be of Hispanic heritage
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or passport stamped I – 551 (not expired)
  • Be a Junior or Senior enrolled full – time in a degree – seeking program at a four – year accredited U.S. institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam during the 2011 – 2012 academic year.
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale
  • Must reside or attend school in one of the following states :
    1. Illinois
    2. Indiana
    3. Michigan
    4. Ohio
    5. Pennsylvania
  • Be majoring in Business Administration (includes Procurement and Supply Chain Management), Chemical Engineering, Electrial Engineering, Engineering, Industrial Engineering / Technology or Mechanical Engineering
  • Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

HSF/ Qualcomm Q Awards Scholarship, USA

Scholarship for Hispanic American Heritage Candidates

The HSF/Qualcomm Q Awards Scholarship Program provides scholarships of $ 5,000 for 2011 – 2012 academic year. By applying, students may also be contacted regarding internship opportunities with Qualcomm, in the summer of 2011.

Eligibility Requirements of HSF/ Qualcomm Q Awards Scholarship :

  • Be of Hispanic American heritage
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States with a valid Social Security Number at the time of application. All legal permanent residents must submit a copy of their valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I – 551 (not expired)
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student who plans to enroll full – time in a degree seeking program at a four year U.S. accredited institution during the 2011 – 2012 academic year.
  • Be majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Open to all institutions with preference given to applicants attending the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California, San Diego
  • Must provide a resume
  • Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

HSF / Marathon Oil Corporation College Scholarship

HSF / Marathon Oil Corporation College Scholarship Program, USA

Scholarship for Hispanic American and African American, USA

The HSF / Marathon Oil Corporation Scholarship Program is a scholarship of up to $ 15,000 per year. Selected students may receive up to $ 15,000 for two academic years for a possible total award of $ 30,000.

In addition, scholars will be offered the opportunity to participate in a possible paid 8 – 10 week summer internship at various Marathon Oil Corporation locations. Scholars will also be paired with a Marathon Oil Corporation employee who will serve as a professional mentor.

HSF / Marathon Oil Corporation College Scholarship Eligibility Requirements :

  • Be of Hispanic American, African American, Asian Pacific Islander American, or American Indian / Alaskan Native heritage.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States with a valid Social Security Number at the time of application. All legal permanent residents must submit a copy of their valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I – 551.
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
  • Be a current Sophomore majoring in Accounting, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Energy Management or Petroleum Land Management, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Finance, Geology, Geophysics, Geotechnical Engineering, Global Procurement or Supply Chain Management, Information Technology (IT / MIS), Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or Transportation & Logistics.
  • Or be a current Senior planning to enroll in a Master’s degree program in Geology or Geophysics.
  • Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

HSF / Haz La U Scholarship

HSF / Haz La U Scholarship Program for USA Candidates, USA

Research Hispanic Scholarship for USA Citizens

As part of its commitment to the Hispanic Community, Colgate – palmolive’s scholarship program, “Haz La U” (“Make the U”), aims to provide eligible high school seniors with the opportunity to pursue higher education levels.

Students may apply for one of eleven educational grants that will be awarded on a competitive basis for :

  • a one – time $ 15,000 scholarship award for the top recipient
  • a one – time $ 2,500 scholarship award for 10 additional recipients.

HSF / Haz La U Scholarship Eligibility Requirements :

  • Be of Hispanic heritage.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States with a valid Social Security Number at the time of application. All legal permanent residents must submit a copy of their valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I – 551 (not expired).
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Be pursuing or plan to pursue your first undergraduate degree
  • Have plans to enroll full – time in a degree seeking program at a two or four year U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U. S. Virgin Islands, or Guam during the 2011 – 2012 academic year
  • Must be first year student at a two year college or a freshman at a four year institution in the 2011 – 2012 academic year
  • Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
