Undergraduate Music Talent Scholarship

Auditions are held in the Spring Semester. Awards are given for the following academic year and range from 3 to 9 credit hours per semester.
Eligibility for Undergraduate Music Talent Scholarship :
Applicants must be accepted as an undergraduate student at NEIU (not required at time of audition). To be eligible for a Music Talent Scholarship, students must be a U.S. citizen or a documented non-citizen.
Students do not have to be music majors to receive a scholarship. Students designated as “student-at-large” and/or students with a bachelors degree (or who will receive one before the end of the Fall semester) are not eligible for a Music Talent Scholarship.
Students will be assigned an audition time and will be notified in advance.
Audition Information and Requirements :
Students must perform a solo piece and / or etude that best displays the student’s musical ability.
Vocalists and instrumentalist are required to perform with piano accompaniment. A piano accompanist will be available at the audition.
