The structure of the VA Boston Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program follows a multiple practice format as defined by APA’s Policy Statements and Implementing Regulations.
The Fellowship Program is organized into two separate areas :
- the substantive traditional practice area of Clinical Psychology, and
- the specialty practice area of Clinical Neuropsychology.
Within the Clinical Psychology Training Program, we offer training in six areas of emphasis (“tracks”) :
- General Mental Health
- Medical Psychology
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Returning Veterans and Substance Use
- Substance Abuse.
Within the Clinical Neuropsychology Training Program, we offer training in two areas of emphasis (“tracks”) :
- Geriatric Neuropsychology.
Both Training Programs exist within the overarching structure of the Fellowship Program and are independently accredited by APA. Our next accreditation site visit will be in 2015.
During the 2011 – 2012 training year, the VA Boston Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program anticipates it will provide training for nine full – time Fellows in the traditional practice of Clinical Psychology.
We will also provide funding for one full – time Fellow in Clinical Neuropsychology – Polytrauma Emphasis.
