Edith Cowan University ( ECU ) is a large multi-campus institution serving communities in Western Australia and a significant cohort of international students.

Awarded university status in 1991, ECU has since developed innovative and practical courses across a wide range of disciplines, established a vibrant research culture and attracted a growing range of quality research partners and researchers, many working at the cutting edge of their fields.

ECU has more than 27,000 students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Approximately 5,500 of these are international students originating from over 70 countries.

More than 400 courses are offered through four faculties:

  • Business and Law
  • Computing, Health and Science
  • Education and Arts, which includes the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts ( WAAPA )
  • Regional Professional Studies

The University has two metropolitan campuses in Mount Lawley and Joondalup, and also serves Western Australia’s South West region from a campus in Bunbury, 200km south of Perth.

We have three campuses in Western Australia, each offering a modern, vibrant location for study and learning. Our campuses feature up-to-date facilities including wireless internet, 24-hour access to computer labs, libraries with open study spaces outside office hours and a safe environment for you to study in, either by yourself or with other students.

Edith Cowan University Scholarships

ECU invite current Western Australian year 12 school leavers to apply for a scholarship. The online application Portal will open on the 31 August 2012 for entry in semester 1, 2013. Future undergraduate Bachelor degree students who select ECU as their first preference of university through TISC, who can demonstrate academic excellence, endeavour and leadership and a commitment to ECU’s core values are encouraged to apply. The ECU South West Campus Scholarship is for those selecting ECU South West Campus ( Bunbury ) as their first preference of university and the ECU Excellence Scholarships for either our Joondalup or Mount Lawley campus.

ECU Postgraduate Research scholarships are now open for applications from domestic students with exceptional research promise currently or intending to study at ECU in a doctoral degree ( PhD ) or master by research in 2013. Valued at $25,000  ( tax free ) per annum.
