Dr Fiona Woods, Director and Co-founder of Clinical Cell Culture (C3) in WA, is internationally recognized for the innovative use of tissue engineering technology in clinical burn practice and scar reconstruction.

Prof. Fiona Stanley, Founding Director of the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research, in Subiaco, discovered that maternal diet rich in folic acid can prevent spina bifida in babies and that cerebral palsy is not only the result of birth trauma. She is also recognized for her considerable contribution to Aboriginal maternal and child health in Western Australia.
