North Dakota State University is 110 years old University accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges & Schools with enrolment of more than 12,000 students. NDSU's programs are recognized internationally & are also accredited by the prestigious ABET and AACSB.

North Dakota State University has been ranked 4th by US Consumer Digest (June 2004 issue) among Public universities in the US in terms of Best Academic value for the money spent. John Deere, which has a subsidiary in India, has sanctioned a grant of US$ 100,000 to North Dakota State University for support of exchange of visits of students and faculty from North Dakota State University to AIT & from AIT to NDSU spread over a period of four years. A part of this grant totaling Rs.5 lacks per annum has been utilized to provide scholarships to 10 meritorious Indian students seeking transfer to North Dakota State University during studies at AIT. Every successful student transferred from AIT gets 50% scholarship for studies at North Dakota State University
