School of Law, Christ University ( SLCU ), Bangalore is a part of Christ University, Bangalore, which was founded and is administered by Carmelites of Mary Immaculate ( CMI ). CMI, the first indigenous Catholic religious congregation of India with a membership of 2000, renders its service to humanity in educational, social, healthcare and other activities. 1. Bachelor of Law ( BA., LLB ) ( Honours )

Basic Eligibility : A pass in Class 12 ( 10+2 ) / PUC or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks at the final examination is the minimum eligibility for appearing for SLCU Law Entrance Examination. The candidates should also be below the age of 20 years as on 1st July, 2010.

2. Bachelor of Law ( BBA., LLB ) ( Honours )

The School of Law, Christ University ( SLCU ), Bangalore, is approved by the Bar Council of India to conduct the B.B.A., L.L.B. ( Honours ) course. The school offers a five – year integrated law program, the successful completion of which will earn the student a B.B.A., L.L.B. degree ( Honours ) to be awarded by Christ University.

Ph.D program in Law is focused towards legally associated social problems with the intention of providing social Justice. It aims to equip research scholars with critical and analytical ability by providing them theoretical and empirical exposure through comprehensive course work. The research in law enables the scholars to pursue research in the front line areas of basic law as well as interdisciplinary areas of legal research. Thus Ph.D program produces professional researchers and future leaders in Law.

Basic Eligibility : A pass with 55% marks in post graduation and M.Phil in the relevant subject from any recognized university. A research proposal ( Maximum 1500 words ) has to be submitted along with the application.

5. Master of Philosophy ( M. Phil. ) in Law

Pursuing a Research Degree provides the candidate with an opportunity to determine his own specialised field of study. The aim is for students to acquire in – depth knowledge and experience in a particular field through original investigation. In M.Phil., the candidate is expected to analyze a topic selected by him, as well as, show a well – grounded theory of research methodologies that is applicable to the field of study.

This is not that easy because the applicant must practice uniqueness and originality on how he or she makes use of his or her knowledge and find out ways to expand the limits of the current knowledge using good researching skills. Using research avenue, the M.Phil. seeks to give the candidate an understanding of how to stretch the limits of knowledge.

Basic Eligibility : A pass with 55% marks aggregate or equivalent grade at the Post Graduate level in Law or relative disciplines from any recognized University.
