Background:

Miranda House, residential college for women, was founded in 1948 by the then vice-chancellor, Sir Maurice Gwyer. It is one of the premier women’s institutions of the Delhi University. With nearly 3, 000 students in both science and humanities, Miranda House has kept alive a long tradition of liberal education. The college has maintained high academic standards, with a distinguished faculty and students across geographical and cultural boundaries.
