Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test (UPCPMT)Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test (UPCPMT)UPCPMT Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Examination, UPCPMT Entrance Exam Details Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Examination UPCPMT A Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) is conducted by the Admission Committee for admission to B.E / B.Tech/ B.Arch/B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) / B.Tech (Chemical Technology) for admission to the following colleges.
For Four/Five-Year B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Tech. (Chem.TEch.) Courses: Intermediate examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of UP Board or equivalent. Candidates appearing any one of the above mentioned qualifyng examinations for admission are allowed to appear in the combined Entrance Examinations provisionally. However, they must furnish their results before the date of counselling failing which their candidature shall stand cancelled. Candidates seeking admission to the three-year B.Tech. (Chemical Technology) courses at HBTI, Kanpur only are required to furnish their results of B.Sc. Degree Examination by September 30. The Test is held usually in the month of May/June. However, the merit list will be prepared based on aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. In the Preliminary Examination each candidate is required to appear in one paper only as per details given below:Group A or C: For admission to 4/5 year course for BE/B.Tech / B.Arch/B.Tech. (Agr. Engg.) / B.Tech. (Chem. Tech.) candidates who have passed / appeared in Intermediate Examination or equivalent with PCM (also English for RECs). Paper to be taken is of 3 hours duration consisting of objective type questions in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Group B: For admission to 4 year course for B.Tech. (Agr. Engg) candidates who have passed / appeared in intermediate Examination in Agriculture. Paper to be taken is of 3 hours duration consisting of objective type questions in Agr. Physics and Chemistry, Agr. Engineering and Statistics, Agronomy and Agr. Botany. The Main Examination consists of three groups of papers (Given below) made on the basis of eligibility requirements of all the courses. A candidate has to select one and only one group out of the se three groups for the exam. Group A: For admission to 4/5 year course for BE/B.Tech/B.Arch/ B.Tech. (Chem. Tech.) / B. Tech. (Agr. Engg.). Candidates who have passed / appeared in Intermediate or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Papers to be taken at the CEE are Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Group B: B.Tech. (Agr. Engineering) 4 - year course. Candidates who have passed Intermediate examination in Agriculture. CEE Papers are: AG_I (Agricultural Physics and Chemistry), AG-II (Agricultural Engg. and Statistics) and AG-III (Agronomy and Agricultural Botany). Group C: For admission to 4/5 year course for BE/B.Tech./B.Arch. (at GCA, Lucknow) B.Tech. (Agr. Engg.) / B.Tech. (Chem. Tech.) Candidates who have passed Intermediate examination with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Papers to be taken at CEE are Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Aptitude Test in Architecture. Age Limit for UPCPMT Entrance ExamFor most of the Institutions, (except other REs) maximum age is 22 years on October1 (relaxable by three years for SC/ST and UP Backward Class candidates) of the year of admission. However, there is no age limit at a few of the Regional Engineering Colleges. Selection Procedure for UPCPMT Entrance Exam:
Application forms with information brochure are available from first week of January of the year of admission from all the institutions of UP mentioned above against cash payment of requisite amount per form. The forms can also be obtained b post from the Coordinator. Admission Committee (Institute conducting the CEE) against Postal Order / Bank Draft of requisite amount in favour of Coordinator, Admission Committee. Last Date for UPCPMT Entrance Exam:Last date for submission of completed CET form alongwith the requisite fees in the month of March / April. Examination Centres for UPCPMT Entrance Exam:The Preliminary Examination is held in 3rd week of May. The Main Examination is held on two days in the 3rd week of June at the Centres indicated below. The examination in papers of Group B will be held only at Allahabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Pantnagar. The examination for the papers of Groups A and C will be held at Agra, Aligarh, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhopal, Calcutta, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Dwarhat (Almora), Etawah, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Haridwar, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Kurukshetra, Lucknow, Meerut, Moradabad, Mumbai, Nainital, Pantanagar, Pauri Garhwal, Ranchi, Roorkee, Sultanpur, Varanasi. Last date for submission of completed CET form alongwith the requisite fees in the month of March / April. Medium of Examination: Candidates appearing in the CEE have the option to answer the papers in English or in Hindi. Only standard English numerals are used.
