Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust Scholarships
Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust Scholarship was established by the Rotary Club of Riccarton as the result of a significant grant from a Riccarton resident, Mr Brian Moore.
This scholarship supports academically able students at the Ara Institute of Canterbury, Lincoln University, or the University of Canterbury, whose financial or personal circumstances might have prevented them from considering entry to tertiary education in the absence of the scholarship.The scholarship was established in 2007 by the Rotary Club of Riccarton as the result of a significant grant to the Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust from a Riccarton resident and Rotarian, Mr Brian Moore.
Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust Scholarships Eligibility
The scholarship is awarded to students beginning full-time enrolment in their first year of a degree programme at the Ara Institute of Canterbury, or Lincoln University, or the University of Canterbury who:
a. are citizens of New Zealand or holders of a New Zealand residence class visa;
b. have been studying at secondary level in New Zealand in the year of application (or, in the case of a gap year, in the year immediately prior); and
c. have resided in the Canterbury region for at least the 12 months immediately preceding the closing date for applications (or, in the case of a gap year, for at least the 12 months immediately preceding the start of the gap year).
Preference will be given to applicants who have received their secondary education while residing in, or attending a school in, the Riccarton Ward of Christchurch.
