CSS programmers have at least a certificate and several years of experience that demonstrate a solid knowledge of HTML markup and other web applications. CSS Programmers are Web Designers

Cascading style sheets ( CSS ) have long served as the design tool that formats and stylizes HTML elements that make up web pages. Working with CSS, HTML and often JavaScript, CSS programmers design and build front – end website architecture, including templates, structures and interfaces. CSS Programmer Career Outlook

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics ( BLS ), job opportunities were expected to decline by three percent for computer programmers as a whole ( www.bls.gov. ) This decrease is attributed to the outsourcing of jobs to other countries and consumers who are increasingly able to create their own programs; however, the BLS does note that job opportunities may become available as current computer programmers move on to other occupations.

As such, the bureau notes that programmers who have a bachelor’s degree, experience using a wide range of applications and stay abreast of technological changes are expected to see the best opportunities.

Salary Information for CSS Programmer Career

As of May 2010, the BLS reports that computer programmers in general earned a median annual salary of $71,380, with most receiving wages between $40,820 and $114,180 per year. Those employed in the computer and peripheral equipment manufacturing industry earned the highest wages, receiving an average salary of $105,750 per year.
