IIM CAT 2021 Entrance Exam

The Indian Institutes of Management invites application from eligible candidates for admission to various Management and Fellowship Programs in IIMs, through ( CAT ) Common Admission Test 2021, will be conducted in 2 sessions, for academic year 2021-22. CAT 2021 will be conducted by IIMs as a pre – requisite for admission to various management programs of IIMs.

Before Before a prospective candidate makes a decision to appear for CAT 2019, he / she must visit the websites and / or read programs advertisements of the concerned IIMs and specific programs to ensure which programs they want to apply for, eligibility requirements and admission processes.

List of non – IIM member institutions that have registered to avail the CAT 2020 Score is provided at CAT 2020 Scores are restricted only for admission to IIMs and non – IIM member institutions. IIMs have no role in the selection process of Non – IIM Institution.

CAT 2021 Exam Pattern

Duration of CAT test is 180 minutes.

There will be three sections,

  • Quantitative Aptitude ( QA )
  • Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning ( DILR )
  • Verbal and Reading Comprehension ( VRC )

QA and VRC will have 34 questions each, and DILR will have 32 questions. Some questions in each section may not be of multiple choice type. Instead, direct answers are to be typed on the screen. The tutorials will clearly explain this change. Also, we will allow use of basic on-screen calculator for computation.

Candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for answering questions in each section and they cannot switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.

Tutorial to understand the format of the examination will be available on the CAT website from August, 2021. Candidates are advised to work on the tutorials, available on the website, well in advance.
