Mewar University 2021 MCA Syllabus
General Awareness :
This section will test students on their knowledge of India’s history, culture, economy, political system and geography, etc. It will also have questions on current national and international developments in all fields of knowledge.
General English :
The English section will test the candidate’s proficiency in English. It will have questions related to basics of grammar, antonyms & synonyms, use of prefixes and suffixes, common errors, Punctuation, etc. It will also include questions based on the comprehension of a passage.
Logical Reasoning & Numerical Ability :
This section will test students’ logical and analytical reasoning power as well as their numerical ability. The logical and analytical reasoning questions will test the students’ ability to identify logical links and establish analytical reasoning questions such as : Critical reasoning, Visual reasoning, Assumption – Premise – Conclusion, Assertion and reasons, Statements and assumptions, identifying valid inferences, identifying Strong arguments and Weak arguments, Statements and conclusions, Cause and Effect, Identifying Probably true, Probably false, definitely true, definitely false kind of statement, Linear arrangements, Matrix arrangements, Puzzles, Family tree problem, Symbol Based problems, Coding and decoding, Sequencing, identifying next number in series, etc.
The questions on numerical ability will cover Data Interpretation based on text, Data Interpretation based on graphs and tables. Graphs can be Column graphs, Bar Graphs, Line charts, Pie Chart, Graphs representing Area, Venn Diagram, Data Sufficiency, etc.
Arithmetic ( Ratios and Proportions, Percentages, Averages, Percentages, Partnership, Time Speed – Distance, Geometric Progression, Arithmetic progression, Mean, Median, Mode, etc ); Algebra ( In – equations, Quadratic and linear equations, functions, Mensuration, etc. ); Geometry ( Lines, angles, Triangles, Spheres, Rectangles, Cube, Cone etc )
