At Murdoch we have more than 22,500 students and over 2,600 staff, including 2,000 overseas students from around 100 countries studying in Perth and another 6,500 studying offshore. That’s more than 25,100 unique stories, backgrounds and ways of thinking that help us to make a difference in the world.

In Western Australia, our South Street campus has a range of facilities including a comprehensive vet hospital ( with WA’s only equine operating theatres ), engineering pilot plant, a chiropractic clinic, Media Arts centre and more. We also have campuses in Singapore, opposite the National Library in the education hub, and in Dubai where our students use state-of-the-art TV and radio studios, new rooms and editing suites.

Services from Murdoch University

Community Services :

At Murdoch, we offer a number of programs and facilities to help support our wider community. Our support services span a range of areas including health and wellbeing, animal and pet care, recreation and Aboriginal services, plus facilities such as banks and ATMs on campus.

Health and Well-being

Chiropractic Clinic :

Murdoch University Chiropractic Clinic is a state-of-the-art patient centred teaching clinic open to members of the public. Our friendly, helpful and highly skilled team offer high quality chiropractic care, with inter-professional referral or management as needed.

Psychology Clinic :

The Murdoch Psychology Clinic provides a clinical service for people who are experiencing a range of problems.

Clients are seen by psychology trainees who are supervised closely by staff with Clinical Psychology qualifications.

The Clinic operates as a training facility for students enrolled in the postgraduate programs of either a Master of Applied Psychology or a Doctor of Psychology.

Caladenia Counselling :

Caladenia Counselling at Murdoch provides a safe, supportive and affordable environment to assist people who are experiencing major challenges in their lives or dealing with a difficult situation.

We work with people of all ages and backgrounds in a caring, professional and confidential way to promote individual wellbeing and fulfilling relationships. People who attend Caladenia Counselling see postgraduate students in a private setting. The students are supervised by experienced and qualified counseling staff.

Southern Communities Advocacy Legal and Education Service ( SCALES )

The Southern Communities Advocacy Legal and Education Service ( SCALES ) is a community legal centre and the site of the Murdoch University legal clinic and opened its doors in April 1997.

SCALES was established by Murdoch University in partnership with the local community and runs a Clinical Legal Education unit and Advanced Clinical Legal Education unit.

Sports and Recreation Centre

Murdoch Guild Sports is committed to providing the best sports programs, facilities and recreation activities for all students, staff and the surrounding community. Whether you are looking for a sports competition to join, a group fitness class or gym workout, or if you just want to hire a squash court we can assist you.


Library :

Murdoch University Library welcomes all new and returning Murdoch students. Members of the public are welcome to use the Library and may become public borrowers for a fee.

Nexus Theatre :

Since 1994, in association with Murdoch University, Nexus Theatre has been presenting performances by some of Western Australia’s best emerging talents.

We also provide groups in the local community with an affordable and professional space for different kinds of cultural events.

Hairess Hairdresses :

Hairess is Murdoch’s only boutique hairdressing salon. The salon was established @ Murdoch in 1993 and new ownership and the Hairess name was born on 1st July 2007.

Ticketmaster :

Ticketmaster Entertainment, Inc. is a ticket sales and distribution company based in West Hollywood, California, USA, with operations in many countries around the world.  There is a Tickermaster outlet on campus.

BankWest :

Bankwest ( Bank of Western Australia ) is a full service bank offering Personal Banking and Business Banking solutions for the financial needs of Australians.  Both a BankWest ATM and Branch is available on campus.


ANZ are providers of banking, finance, credit card and mortgage services for personal, commercial and rural customers in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific.  An ANZ ATM is available on campus.
